His unfailing love.

No matter what you’ve done- the Lord loves you.
No matter what you haven’t done- the Lord loves you.
No matter your bad choices, your failures, your faults-
He loves you.

There are times in our lives that we hold ourselves to a very unhealthy standard of perfection. We believe that the Lord will love us once we’ve repented of our sins, once we’ve grown in our patience, once we’ve overcome an addiction or illness, or once we’ve mastered the self-discipline that we’ve always wanted.

That couldn’t be further from the truth.

We only need to turn to the Bible to see the beautiful examples of our Savior’s unfailing love and mercy. His compassion knew no bounds- all were welcome in His midst. I don’t ever remember a story where He turned anyone away. He openly embraced the sick, addicted, oppressed, sinful, disabled, grieving, and lost. He showed them kindness and gave them healing. Merciful miracles that lifted hearts and spirits, forever changing the lives that He touched.

We might not be where we want to be yet- spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally- it doesn’t matter. The Lord loves us even when we can’t love ourselves. It is that unfailing love that carries us through our darkest times, through those nights that never seem to end. He’s always by our side- through the darkness, sickness, depression, and trials.

Jesus Christ, our blessed Redeemer, is the same today as He was over 2,000 years ago. He will never stop loving you- He knows you personally and loves you more than you could ever imagine.

I know that Jesus Christ lives. He saved my life- He saved me from myself and a grasp of hell that was so awful, it hurts to even think about it.

I know of His unfailing love BECAUSE of the mistakes I made, mistakes He used to turn my life into something more than I ever believed possible. He did not shy away from me because I had gotten myself into so much spiritual trouble. He did not wait until I had repented of my sins to help me turn my life around. I had to be humble enough to request His help, and then He took my hand and guided me out of the mess I had created for myself. If you are in a similar situation, I know that He will do the same for you.

Hope in His unfailing love, dear friends. It will always be there.

God bless you!
Love,
Amber
