The joy of surrender.

2020 was a year of surrender. We found ourselves forced to carry out our lives a lot more different than usual. It tested our mental health, our spiritual strength, and our faith.

This upheaval has affected every single person on this planet. Each one of us has experienced loss and pain from this pandemic. We have had to dig deep into our spiritual reserves to keep going.

There comes a time in every trial where we must accept what is happening. After that acceptance, we need to surrender the outcome over to God. When we release control over a situation and give it to our Father in Heaven, we shed the pride that keeps us stagnant. How can we grow if we never surrender our lives to Him- trusting that His will is for our highest good?

We need to develop a relationship with God where we completely trust in His path for our lives- no matter where it leads. He knows our thoughts, feelings, and everything about us. Why is it that we are so hesitant to surrender our will to His? Do we know better than the God of all creation?

The truth is that we don’t. When pride rules our will, it leads us down the wrong path. We must let go of pride and stubbornness and surrender our will to the Father.

Seeking God’s will for your life brings personal fulfillment. He knows your strengths, skills, and talents. He knows where you belong and what you should be doing at every point in your life. His guidance is invaluable.

If we continue to surrender our will to the Father, we will be blessed.
Psalm 84:11 reminds us that “…no good thing will be withheld from them that walk uprightly.”

May we seek His will for us in prayer, every day. I hope that this message finds you well wherever you are. May God bless you now and in the year to come.

Love,
Amber
